anlaby road, hull, 2001
designed as a sound installation to be placed in the bathrooms or workspaces of an active gallery.
the piece was first exhibited beneath a sink in a public walkway as part of an art school degree show and was the first of a series of works which were never advertised.
the sound of a dripping tap is placed beneath the sink to play out through the pipe. the sound is a reworked piece using non-linear editing in software programme 'max msp' which gradually builds up to create subtle rythems and patterns.
the idea is to create a piece that the viewer would find as they moved around other works within the space.
